Privacy Policy for Word King

Overview

Word King is made by Edamame Makers. The game is designed to collect only the information needed to operate gameplay, progression, leaderboards, diagnostics, and advertising.

Information We Collect

• Game progress, including XP, wins, matches played, daily challenge results, streaks, achievements, and cosmetic selections.
• Profile details you choose inside the game, such as display name, avatar color, and cosmetic identity.
• An anonymous installation identifier used to sync progress and leaderboard data without requiring account creation.
• Limited diagnostic information used to identify crashes, bugs, and performance issues, such as platform, app version, locale, time zone, and device model when available.
• A push notification token, if you enable Daily Arena reminders on Android, used only to deliver those reminders. Disabling reminders removes the token.
• Feedback you choose to send from inside the game, including the message text and any screenshots or videos you attach. Attachments are stored in Firebase Storage and reviewed to improve the game.
• Short-lived one-time link codes, if you use device sync, used solely to connect your progress across devices. Codes expire and are deleted after use.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase is used for backend services such as profile sync, hosted matches, daily results, and leaderboards.
• Google AdMob is used to serve ads. Google may use advertising identifiers to support ad delivery, personalization, measurement, and fraud prevention.
• Google Play and Apple platform services handle app distribution and any platform transactions. Edamame Makers does not process or store payment card information directly.

Tracking and Advertising Controls

On platforms that provide tracking controls, Word King follows the platform permission flow. If you decline tracking or ad personalization, ads may still appear but may be less personalized.

Data Retention and Deletion

Word King profiles are anonymous: they hold a display name, an avatar color, and your game progress (such as XP, crowns, streaks, and cosmetics), which sync to our backend so you can continue on another device. Diagnostic and telemetry records are kept only for a limited window (currently about 45 days) and are then removed automatically. One-time device-link codes expire and are deleted after use.

You can request deletion of your profile and its progress at any time by contacting edamame.makers@gmail.com. Tell us the display name on the device and we will remove your player profile, leaderboard entries, daily challenge entries, and any feedback you sent.

Children's Privacy

Word King is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Accessibility

Word King aims to support readable typography, distinct visual labels, and screen-reader-friendly controls where possible.
